Short Biography

Saqib brings more than 20 years of leadership, management, organisational development, fundraising and business experience across the charity, social-impact, commercial and regulated-care sectors. He is a co-founder and senior leader of iERA, an international faith-based education charity that has developed programmes and partnerships across more than 30 countries. His responsibilities have included strategy, governance, fundraising, organisational development and international expansion.

Saqib is also Chair of One Ummah, an international aid and development charity operating across 20 countries. During his involvement, the charity’s annual income has grown from approximately £1 million to more than £30 million. His work includes strategic and governance oversight across fundraising, programmes, finance, safeguarding, risk, compliance and organisational performance. Across his charity leadership roles, he has helped raise, generate and oversee tens of millions of pounds in income.

He also has direct experience of regulated adult social care through his previous role as a Director of Arale Care, where his responsibilities included business development and compliance. He worked closely with the Registered Manager on CQC requirements, safeguarding, risk assessments, policies, quality assurance and operational compliance, and helped guide the organisation through a CQC inspection.

Alongside his charity and care-sector leadership, Saqib has established and managed several businesses, giving him practical experience in strategy, business planning, marketing, financial management, customer acquisition and organisational growth. As Registered Manager and Nominated Individual, he has overall responsibility for ensuring that Olive Grove Care develops as a safe, sustainable and well-governed organisation with compassionate, person-centred care at its heart.
